Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Service Delivery and Governance Manager to work closely with the Director of IT & Projects to implement and maintain a sustainable IT GRC framework across the business.

This role is critical in ensuring local IT operations and processes align with internal policies, HQ standards, and industry best practices. You will take ownership of IT audit findings, compliance activities, and process improvements while supporting the wider business to achieve a seamless IT service experience.

What you'll do

Governance, Risk and Compliance

  • Take ownership of the IT GRC framework, including outstanding audit findings and compliance items.
  • Work closely with IT and Projects Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Managers to embed sustainable GRC best practices aligned with HQ standards and policies.
  • Deliver agreed targets in partnership with the Director of IT & Projects.
  • Establish team performance standards and targets to achieve business and GRC outcomes.
  • Monitor performance against targets and implement remedial actions where required.
  • Resolve escalated and complex IT operational and compliance issues.
  • Monitor organisational risk exposure across IT services to internal and external stakeholders, implementing controls due to risk to acceptable levels.
  • Participate as a member of the Management Team in business planning activities.
  • Provide regular (monthly) reporting on IT GRC activities, risks and performance.
  • Work closely with the Director of IT & Projects to align Service Desk, Projects, and IT Operations with industry best practices and HQ governance standards.

Process Improvement & Policy Leadership

  • Lead continuous process improvements and drive strong policy adherence across IT and Projects.
  • Ensure effective alignment, integration, and visibility across IT operations and project development activities.
  • Work closely with the Director of IT & Projects to achieve agreed targets.
  • Establish performance standards and targets in consultation with IT & Projects team.
  • Monitor performance against targets and implement remedial actions where required.
  • Resolve escalated and complex IT operational issues.
  • Educate teams on IT processes, policies, and procedures.

Service Delivery and Operational Excellence

  • Work with IT, Projects and the wider business to improve efficiencies and processes.
  • Work with the wider business to assist in implementing best practices for governance and process.
  • Work with Risk and IT to align BCP and ITSCM
  • Support the Service desk supervisor with enhancing the customer experience.

Reporting & Monitoring

  • Prepare reports for Director of IT & Projects, the Executive Team members and HQ relevant to the current IT audit and compliance deliverables.
  • Ensure there is complete documentation of the existing network, hardware, procedures and processes utilised within VWFS as required for compliance and ITIL standards.

 

Compliance

 

  • Ensure that enhancements comply with the requirements of existing IT Standards.
  • Deal with third party providers and headquarters to ensure IT system security is appropriate.
  • Ensure Team Members abide by and stay familiar with all Compliance Requirements.

 

Budget Management

 

  • Assist in establishing budgets which will adequately meet the needs of the IT Department within the proposed timeframe.

What we’re looking for

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT and/or related discipline desirable.
  • Certified in use of popular business systems/processes used in the finance industry.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearly.
  • Good interpersonal skills and Management/leadership experience.
