We are currently looking for Financial Accountant to join our team and support the implementation configuration and collaboration of the New Contract Management System (CMS) to be implemented. The role acts as a bridge between Finance, IT and the external software vendors ensuring the system automates loan servicing (interest accruals, payments, loan closures etc) while maintaining data integrity, compliance, and seamless integration with the General Ledger.
What you'll do
System Implementation and Configuration
- Support the end-to-end implementation of the New CMS including submission of requirements to vendor, configurations / customizations & testing required
- Help prepare documentation required for the implementation (reading and understanding current workflow diagrams, updating process workflows and drafting of quality and meaningful documentation) – documentation to be clear, accurate and concise explaining processes
- Learn current processes and systems and be able to test the efficiency and effectiveness of the vendor system
- Troubleshoot and identify errors relating to the vendor system by application of VWFS systems learning
- Design and implement internal controls and security protocols within the CMS to ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements
Financial Data and Integration
- Ensure efficiency and validity of financial data imported or exported from Finance Systems (Financial Reports Data checking and Audit Reports)
- Ensure accurate recording of loan activities, including principal balances, interest accruals, payments, fees, and reconcile CMS data with the General Ledger
- Support the setting up of receipt functions (direct debit, bpay set ups) and integration points with the bank for payment processing
- Setting up VWFS processes such as commissions, interest charges to wholesale dealers, subventions & ABS ( Asset Backed Securities) reports in the new system
Financial Data Set Up & Reconciliation
- Support setting of Chart of Accounts for the new system & mapping into the master Chart of Accounts
- Help support Data Migration process by taking down requirements and performing reconciliations required
What you'll bring
- Strong experience with loan management systems with a focus on loan operations, mortgage lending ( e.g. inhouse LMS, Sales Force etc)- must have.
- Membership or currently studying for membership of a recognised Australian accounting body (CPA Australia, Institute of Chartered Accountants, OR Postgraduate study in Finance or Information Technology) . Proficiency in MS Excel and running tool-based test models
- Strong technical understanding of accounting, process controls. Experience relating to month end /year end completions, reconciliations and GL balance maintenance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Excellent written communication skills, with demonstrated experience preparing high quality documentation for management review.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders across the business.
- A collaborative team player who can support a fast-paced environment, working closely with the manager and an experienced Financial Accountant; highly organised, structured and methodical approach.
- Positive “can do” attitude, remaining calm under pressure and adaptable to ad-hoc tasks, with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
