Job Description

Reporting to the State Manager, we are currently seeking a Regional Manager to join our sales team based in NSW. Your primary responsibility will be to develop new and existing business and ensure client relationships are managed and maintained effectively in the regions of NSW.

The Role:

This critical role is instrumental in the delivery of sales outcomes through the development of key relationships and partnerships for VWFS, our Group Brands and recently acquired Brand Partners.

Key objectives of the role:

  • Assist the State Manager NSW in the development of new and existing commercial business in line with business objectives and ensure client relationships are managed and maintained effectively.
  • Monitor and report on client performance, identify market trends within and outside established areas and make recommendations to State Manager NSW as appropriate.
  • Act as initial point of contact for the review and assessment of credit applications for commercial lending.
  • Continuously promote a positive image of VWFS at all times through the development of effective relationships with clients, understanding their needs and continuously look at ways to add value and strengthen the relationship.
  • Benchmark and implement standards and expectations of client servicing and monitor performance
  • Provide constant operational support, advice and gather information for management on critical relevant business issues.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of operational policies, procedures and systems for the client servicing functions.
  • Carry out all tasks and duties in accordance with established company policies & procedures.
  • Maintain documentation and records in accordance with company policies & procedures.
  • Promote cooperation and good relationships by undertaking duties and responsibilities in a positive manner. Lead by example and be an active and participative company member

What you’ll do:

  • Network Development
    • Build relationships with new and existing dealers.
    • Liaise between dealer and Office.
    • Create and maintain an effective communication channel between the dealer and the company.
    • Communicate and Implement company initiatives with dealers.
    • Assist dealers to resolve issues in running the dealerships F&I and in meeting commitments to VWFS.
  • Support and drive dealership performance
    • Support existing dealers with measures to improve their business performance and ensure that they are well equipped to improve their business.
    • Monitor and report on dealer performance, identify market trends and make recommendations to successfully deal with the trend.
    • All issues to be resolved quickly and continuously monitored. 
    • Accurate information to be supplied in a timely manner by RM to dealers-and use data to identify trends. Positive trends should be reinforced, negative trends quickly resolved.
  • Source new business
    • Develop and implement proposals to acquire new dealers and secure their long-term commitment.
    • Maximise returns from new businesses.
    • Consistently approach potential dealers and build rapport.
  • Dealer Incentive Program
    • Tailor marketing campaigns and incentive programs to dealer's needs.
    • Promote “Dealer of the Year” Campaign, and track dealers on their progress.
    • Maximise returns on campaigns.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (accounting, commerce, economics or law) are preferable but not mandatory.
  • Strong operational knowledge of wholesale/retail leasing, insurance or related field.
  • General understanding of growing and sustaining businesses and relationships in a competitive marketplace.
  • Knowledge of brand marketing, particularly related to a wholesale/retail environment.
  • Demonstrated computer knowledge including Excel and Word. Interest and knowledge of current industry and economic issues.
  • Ability to plan and execute day to day activities. Planned, organised and effectively distinguishes between low and high priority.
  • Well-developed written and communication skills and the ability to actively and accurately listen to all parties.
  • Ability to respond to questions with confidence, demonstrating knowledge and experience.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in the provision of service and support to commercial clients or a similar environment including a demonstrated ability to identify and develop alternative solutions to problems, to evaluate courses of action and to reach logical conclusions.
  • Previous credit assessment and/or risk management experience, in particular, knowledge of appropriate credit processes is preferable but not mandatory. Experience in multi-tasking and client liaison.
